New regulations into force on October 31, 2024

We would like to inform you about upcoming changes in customs regulations that may affect export processes. The new regulations will come into force on October 31, 2024, and may have a significant impact on the time for customs clearance. The changes being introduced mainly concern the obligation to physically present goods to customs, which was previously possible without this procedure. Although these changes mainly concern the simplified procedure, they may significantly affect the processing time for all customs clearances. As a result, there may be longer queues at the offices, which could increase the processing time for exports. In addition, two new customs systems, AIS/IMPORT PLUS and AES/ECS2 PLUS, are scheduled to be implemented on October 31, 2024. While these technological solutions are intended to improve the efficiency of clearance, the implementation of new IT systems can, especially at first, present some challenges. Such changes often face technical difficulties, which can lead to further delays.

Therefore, to minimize the risk of delays, we recommend considering the following actions:

  • Rescheduling check-ins: Rescheduling check-ins to an earlier date can help avoid potential congestion.
  • Check-in in other countries: In some cases, it may be more advantageous to clear customs outside Poland.
  • Use of customs warehouse services: We can offer you space in our customs warehouse, but goods should be delivered before October 31, 2024 to avoid problems arising from the new regulations.

We encourage you to take steps to help you adapt to the upcoming changes and avoid potential delays. If you have any questions or concerns, our specialists are at your disposal.

We will also keep monitoring the situation and inform you of any new information that may affect your customs processes.
