

From 1st January 2026, different rules of origin will apply to trade with PEM countries. The changes result from the Regional Convention on Pan-Euro-Mediterranean Preferential Rules of Origin (PEM), which covers 25 countries and aims to facilitate international trade and the integration of European and Mediterranean supply chains.

From 1 January 2026, the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) will come into full effect. Until the end of 2025, companies operated in a transitional period during which their only obligation was to report CO₂ emissions embedded in imported goods.

ADECON received the ‘Employer - Ambassador of Development’ award, granted to organisations that actively support the development of employee competences and open the industry to pupils and students. The award confirms effective activities in the area of team building, education and promotion of the industry.
