ADECON sets the standards! The first Polish company with an SQAS audit covering three modules

Our transport and forwarding company ADECON was the first in Poland and one of the few in Europe to pass the SQAS audit. We achieved high scores in all three audit modules: Transport Service, Warehouse and Depot. Today, we will explain what the SQAS audit is and what our success means for us, our customers and our partners.
What is an SQAS audit?
An SQAS audit, or Safety and Quality Assessment for Sustainability, is a European system for assessing the quality, safety, health, environmental compliance and social responsibility of logistics operators.
This system was developed by CEFIC, the European Chemical Industry Council. What is its purpose? It checks how logistics companies and distributors operate in practice, i.e. whether they ensure transport and storage safety, care about service quality, the environment and social responsibility.
Unlike standard certificates, SQAS does not end with a one-off award of a quality mark. It is a process involving a detailed assessment of the organisation and its daily activities. Auditors analyse the company's risk management, employee training, technical control of equipment, response to incidents and cooperation with partners in the supply chain.
Each audit is summarised in a report that shows the company's level of compliance with European standards. The result presents the percentage level of compliance with the requirements, which allows companies to be compared with each other and progress to be monitored over time.
The SQAS system is updated every three years on average. Why? To keep up with changes in regulations and market trends.
This year's version places particular emphasis on sustainability, energy efficiency, process digitalisation and transparency in the supply chain. This shows how a company actually influences safety and responsibility in logistics.
Scope of the audit – three SQAS modules
ADECON achieved high scores in all three modules of the SQAS audit.
- TS (Transport Service) – 80%,
- WH (Warehouse) – 95%,
- Depot – 95%.
This makes ADECON the first company in Poland and one of the first in Europe to pass the SQAS audit with such a high score in all its modules.
But what do these modules mean? Let us explain.
1. Transport Service (TS)
This module covers the assessment of all transport-related processes, from route planning and fleet maintenance to compliance with safety procedures and ADR regulations.
Auditors check how the company manages its vehicles, how it trains its drivers, how it responds to incidents on the road and how it monitors the technical condition of its fleet. The organisation of the transport of hazardous materials and the manner of communication with customers and supervisory services are also assessed.
A score of 80% in this module means that at ADECON we carry out transport processes in accordance with European safety standards, with supervision of each stage of transport and responsibility for environmental protection.
2. Warehouse (WH)
The Warehouse module focuses on how the company manages its warehouses. The assessment covers procedures for receiving and issuing goods, how they are labelled and secured, and the organisation of warehouse space.
Auditors check whether storage systems are adapted to the nature of the materials stored, especially chemicals. They also check whether staff are suitably qualified and regularly attend safety training.
A score of 95% confirms that at ADECON we care about the safety of stored products and warehouse staff.
3. Depot
This module concerns the operation and maintenance of logistics equipment.
Auditors assess the procedures for cleaning, repairing and inspecting tanks, containers, IBC pallets and other equipment used in the transport of chemical materials. They analyse how the company manages waste and technological effluents, how it monitors the condition of equipment and how it ensures the safety of personnel during these operations.
The 95% score in the Depot module shows that ADECON meets the highest standards in the maintenance and operation of logistics equipment. Every stage, from preparing the equipment for transport to its maintenance, is carried out in accordance with safety rules and with respect for the environment.
What does our achievement mean for our customers and partners?
The significance of the results for ADECON's customers and partners

This strengthens ADECON's position as a reliable partner for companies operating in the chemical, industrial and logistics sectors.
Passing the SQAS audit in three modules with such high results is a reward for our consistent strategy in terms of quality, safety and responsibility. It is also proof that a Polish company can effectively compete with the largest European logistics operators by offering services that comply with international standards.
We are proud of our entire team. This is our shared success!
